Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA)
At Integrated Control Technology we take improving and maintaining our software very seriously. Revisions and updates are made throughout the year in order to ensure that our customers are provided with the best possible access control, intrusion and building management solution.
New licences of Protege System Management Suite are sold with a 12 month Software Maintenance Agreement or SMA
included. This means that during the period of validity, all new versions of the relevant (standard, professional, enterprise) software that we release can be accessed for installation, along with technical support for your solution, via your authorised ICT integrator.
Your SMA is renewable 12 months after you first register your CD key.
If your SMA expires, you can continue to use the currently installed software but you will not be able to access updates to your existing product, add clients, or enjoy the cost benefits of new product offerings available only to current SMA holders. If we make a major release during the period when your product license does not have a valid SMA, you will need to buy an upgrade to the new version or product range at a higher charge.
Having a valid SMA for your product means that you can take advantage of new features and improvements to your software straight away. Your integrator has access to our technical support infrastructure for your solution. An SMA provides better value for money than buying upgrades to new versions because you know when your SMA expires and you can plan your budget with confidence.
