BMS Integration

BMS (Building Management Systems) play a key role when integrating with the security or access control solution in a facility. A well planned BMS integration will allow alarms to be seamlessly processed and sent to off site monitoring and logged locally with minimal effort.

The Protégé® Integrated System Controller provides a significant number of integration options that provide dual path integration allowing for the transportation of events between both systems.

Integration Features

  • Industry standard protocols are supported directly on the Protégé® Integrated System Controller preventing the need for any third party black box devices.
  • Area, zone, PGM output, door and analog values can all be presented to any SCADA front end that supports the appropriate protocols.
  • Successfully integrated with the three major BMS HMI software providers.
  • Allows the BMS system alarms to be transported offsite to an alarm monitoring station using industry standard reporting formats.
